Harris Museum Open Exhibition 2026 — Preston
Professional photography, cinematic walkthrough video, and Matterport 3D virtual tour for the Harris Open Exhibition 2026 — the first full-scale Open Exhibition at the Harris in four years following a major building refurbishment.
The Harris Open Exhibition is a large-scale, densely hung salon-style show across multiple interconnected gallery rooms, each with its own lighting conditions and colour temperature. Capturing individual artworks with accuracy while simultaneously conveying the energy and scale of the full exhibition — without disrupting visitors or gallery staff — required careful scheduling, fast lens changes and precise exposure management across drastically different lighting environments.
About the project
The Harris Museum & Art Gallery in Preston commissioned Bulldog Productions to document the Harris Open Exhibition 2026 — the first full-scale Open Exhibition at the Harris in four years following a major building refurbishment. The brief required comprehensive professional photography covering all gallery spaces, a cinematic walkthrough video, and a 3D virtual tour to extend reach beyond the physical exhibition.
What we delivered
Bulldog Productions carried out a full-day shoot across all gallery spaces at the Harris, working methodically room by room. Wide environmental shots established the scale and atmosphere of the exhibition, while detail photography captured standout individual works — from large-scale oil paintings and sculptural installations to delicate hand-knitted pieces and mixed-media canvases. A cinematic walkthrough video was produced to give online audiences a guided tour of the full show, and a Matterport 3D scan was completed to create an interactive virtual tour for the Harris website.

The results
The Harris received a complete professional media package: 24 high-resolution exhibition photographs, a cinematic walkthrough video, and a fully navigable 3D virtual tour. The imagery was used across the Harris website, social media channels and press releases, significantly extending the reach of the exhibition beyond Preston to regional and national audiences.
